Matcha:the power green tea!

For weight loss, and optimum boosting of the metabolism:
  • drink tea in water only (without milk or additives), before and after meals, and sip frequently during the day. Just place a quarter to half a teaspoon of the powder in a cup or mug and add hot or cold water. Stir. The powder dissolves quickly. (The aim in drinking green tea for weight loss, is: to keep the metabolism boosted and the green tea polyphenols working.)

  • Supplement: As well as being a metabolism-boosting tea, a quarter teaspoon of the powder is effective as a catechin antioxident supplement with water at any time, and it is very suitable as a topping, and delicious sprinkled on food, including curry and low-fat yogurt or icecream.
  • For digestion, and for appetite control, sip the matcha between meals, in just hot or cold water.
  • When making whisked matcha, more powder may be used, according to the size of the bowl, and taste. Place the matcha in the tea bowl, pour hot water over it (boil water; then wait for it to settle with no bubbling), and whip up quickly with a whisk until it becomes light and frothy.
